Employees are the first line of defense in stopping an email attack, but unfortunately many of them neither have the skills nor the knowledge to spot and prevent a threat from happening. A recent Stars and Stripes article points out that security breaches that occur in the workplace are more common than anyone realizes. Worse, nobody, not even management and IT, notices and does something about it. It’s like having your home roof plugged with holes without your awareness; those punctures may not worry you during summer, but they will play havoc with your life come rain and winter.
